Rochester Hills, MI---Zhana Randolph, a 5'10" guard/forward from Rochester High School, signed a letter of intent at her high school this morning to become the fourth member of the 2013-14 Express women's basketball freshmen class.
At Rochester, Randolph was an Honorable Mention All-Michigan selection as a senior. She was a four-year member of the varsity team and a three-year starter, while additionally being a two-time team MVP, a two-time team captain and a Rochester Scholar Athlete all four years.
Coached by Adam Sheldon, Randolph averaged 8.1 points, 3.9 steals and 3.6 assists per game in her career. Overall, she totaled 665 points, 304 steals and 285 assists in her career.
The Rochester Hills, Mich. native plans on majoring in occupational therapy at Owens, and she is the daughter of Angela Randolph.
Along with the other members of next year's freshmen class, Randolph is a member of the National Honor Society.
She joins Hannah Griffin, a 5'11" forward from Edgerton High School (OH), Maura Hackney, a 6'1" forward/center from Edgewood High School (OH) and LaKayra Carlisle, a 5'10" guard/forward from Detroit Pershing High School (MI) as members of the 2013-14 freshmen class.
The Express women's basketball team finished 28-8 last season and advanced to the NJCAA D-II National Tournament, where they finished seventh in the nation. During the season, they captured the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) championship, as well as the Region XII District I championship. Their 28 wins marked the second most in a single season.
