Prior to Owens: Roberts was a First Team All-Northern Buckeye Conference selection his senior year and an Honorable Mention All-Northern Ohio League selection his junior year for coach Chuck Mason.

Personal: Alex is the son of Jeff Roberts and Lisa Mora. He has one sister, Allison.
