Toledo, Ohio---Mike Jamieson, an assistant coach with the Owens Community College men's golf program, has landed a job as the head women's golf coach at NCAA Division III Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa.

Jamieson recently completed his first season with Owens, where he helped lead the team to eight wins and six second place finishes through 15 tournaments. The team finished second in the Region XII tournament and placed ninth in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II National Tournament.

"I am impressed with his knowledge of all parts of the game, his personality and his enthusiasm on moving our program in the right direction," said Buena Vista athletic director, Christyn Abaray, via BVUAthletics.com. "I'm really looking forward to having him on campus and getting him started."

Jamieson is a 2005 graduate of NAIA Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kan., where he played golf for three years after one year at NCAA Colorado State.  At Tabor, he earned all-conference accolades twice and posted three first-place finishes, seven second place finishes and over two-dozen top-10 marks.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to do something I'm passionate about," Jamieson said via BVUAthletics.com. "We only have a few months before conference play starts, so I am most excited to meet the golfers and start working towards our goals."

Jamieson plans to live in Storm Lake with his wife, Briana, and two kids, Kailee and Cameron.
