Owens career: In 2004, Wingate was named the team's offensive player of the year and earned OCCAC All-Academic team honors. She was third on the team with 47 hits, while adding 32 RBI and compiling a .420 batting average.

High School: Wingate received the sportsmanship and scholar-athlete awards at Bedford.
