2014: Richey had one goal and one assist as a freshman, but his one goal was the game-winner on the road against Muskegon Community College on Oct. 5.
Prior to Owens: Richey played four years as a midfielder/forward at Kalida. Under the tutelage of head coach Mark Czubik, Richey was a two-time First Team All-Putnam County League selection, as well as a one-time First Team All-District, one-time Second Team All-District, and one-time Second Team All-Ohio Division II selection. He also served as a team captain in his senior season at Kalida, when his game-winning penalty kick goal helped Kalida advance to the regional finals.
Personal: Ian is the son of Steve and Kelly Richey. He has two siblings, Ryan and Makenna.
