Markese Allen To Provide Depth At PG For Express Men

Detroit, MI---Markese Allen, a 5-9 point guard from Detroit Crockett HS, has signed a letter of intent to play for the Express men's basketball team next year.

"Markese will bring a great deal of depth at the point guard position for us next year," said Express men's basketball head coach Dave Clarke. "He comes from a winning program in Detroit that always produces Division I basketball players. I am extremely excited to welcome Markese to the Owens Express basketball family."

Allen was named Honorable Mention All-Detroit by the Detroit Free Press and the Detroit News, as well as Honorable Mention Class B All-State.

The Express finished 24-8 last season and finished their season with a loss in the Region XII championship game to Lakeland Community College. Directed by Clarke, a first-year head coach, it was the program's best season since 2006-07.
