2013: Butler hit .271 with 15 runs, 32 hits, five doubles, one triple, four home runs, 21 RBIs and eight walks as a sophomore.

2012: Butler hit .291 while starting 45 games at first base for the Express her freshmen year. She had 34 hits in 117 at bats, while producing 11 runs, seven doubles, one triple, one home run, eight walks and 23 RBIs. She had two stolen bases.

Prior to Owens: Butler was a member of the softball and basketball teams at Maumee. In softball, she was Second Team All-Northern Lakes League and Second Team All-District in 2009, and First Team All-NLL in 2008 under coach Jim Hall. In basketball, she was Second Team All-NLL her senior year. Butler he was named to the All Academic Team in 2008, 2009 and 2011 and lists her greatest personal sports thrill as knocking in the game winning run in sectional play her freshman year.

Personal: Katie is the daughter of Jeff and Debbie Butler. She has two siblings, Justin and Rachael (Myerholtz). Her cousin, Danielle Stead, is a former Express softball player. She is a pre-nursing major at Owens.
